Six years ago, in 2009, the “Professor Layton” series introduced me to the world of (classy 🧐) video games. I therefore have a deeply rooted fascination for almost any title of the series, but “Professor Layton and the Unwound Future” from 2010 is one that got particularly stuck in my memory. Here, my piano instructor Christian Schomers and myself perform the title theme of this game as a duett, using two pianos.

Our practice was based on the elaborate arrangement by opiameathew, which I was very thankful for. I would also like to thank Mr. Schomers for not only teaching me my half of the piece, but also taking a lot of time to study his own half. And in case you wondered, his solos are improvised!

The video was recorded at the community hall of the local Evangelical church, which already had two pianos available. Many thanks for letting us use the facilities!
